Camp Director: Joanna Falk
“I am currently a junior, double-majoring in English and psychology in the Columbian College of Arts and Sciences. I grew up in Olney, Maryland. This is my second year as a Camp Director with Shivali, and I am really looking forward to seeing all of our hard work and planning come to fruition this summer. Both Shivali and I were companions at Camp Quality New Jersey in the summer of 2011, and my experience there motivated me even more to lay the foundations for Camp Quality GW. Many of the NJ campers had been paired with the same companion year after year, and the bonds they formed with not only their companions but also with the other campers and staff are what makes Camp Quality different from other camps for children with cancer. Parents can rest assured that their child is spending the week with an adult who they have met before- in many cases, the same adult year after year. These bonds last even after the week of camp is over, making Camp Quality a long-lasting and enriching experience.”

Fundraising Coordinator: Katie Black
“I am a freshman in the Columbian School, with an undecided major. I am from San Antonio, Texas, and am co-coordinator of fund raising for this year. I got involved with Camp Quality because I had a little experience with fundraising in high school for clubs, and wanted to get more experience and put my skills to use for a good cause.“

Public Relations Liaison: Victoria Costa
“I am junior in the Columbian College of Arts and Sciences, studying biology and classical studies. I am originally from Yonkers, New York. As a student pursuing medicine, Camp Quality interested me because of how it makes a difference in these children's lives in such a unique way. I think it is vital that we provide these children with the opportunity to "just be kids" and not be defined by the fact that they have cancer. I've enjoyed my time with the organization so far and I'm looking forward to finally seeing our camp come to life this summer.”

Camper Coordinator: Sabrina Chugani
“My name is Sabrina Chugani and I'm a sophomore at the George Washington University. I'm originally Indian and I grew up in the Caribbean on a small island called Curaçao in the Dutch Antilles. I am currently studying International Affairs with a concentration in International Development Studies. I have been a member of Camp Quality since it started at GWU and I am currently the Camper Coordinator for camp in the summer of 2012. My job is specifically important because I'm responsible for making sure that campers get matched with the perfect companion for them; someone they feel a connection with and someone who will take care of their personal and medical needs. I'm very excited to be a part of Camp Quality and can't wait to meet our campers for this summer!”

Companion Coordinator: Vidya Iyer
"My name is Vidya Iyer and I am a senior at GWU studying Psychology and Biology. Camp Quality allows children with cancer to be themselves and forget about their treatments and doctors, even it is just for one week. My biggest inspiration was attending the CQ National Conference in MO this past fall and hearing so many stories about what a huge difference this one week makes in a child's life. I want to be a part of that difference, and thats why I'm a part of Camp Quality GWU."

Secretary: Lindsay Woods
“My name is Lindsay Woods, and I am currently a sophomore studying International Affairs at the Elliott School of George Washington University. I am from Hightstown, New Jersey, and I became involved with Camp Quality last year, dealing mainly with public relations. I decided to become involved with this amazing organization because of personal connections to family and friends who have fought cancer. I feel honored to be a part of this amazing opportunity to allow children with cancer a space where they can be carefree and enjoy each other's company.“

Afternoon Activities Coordinator: Brooke Conley
“I am a junior majoring in International Affairs and minoring in business. I’m originally from Boston, MA. I have always been interested in community service and have camp experience, so Camp Quality was a good match for me at GWU. I have been an activities co-chair for the past year and have enjoyed this position very much because I will be able to ensure that the kids have the most fun as possible throughout their time at camp. For example, the campers will be able to try new activities and bring home great memories and stories to tell their families. Seeing a big smile on the camper's face after participating in an activity is one of the many joys I will get out of the Camp Quality experience because I will know all the campers had a great time.“
