Dear Teen Camper,
It’s that time of year – the snow is falling, the air is cold, and Camp Quality Heartland Winter Teen Camp is here again! This camp experience is open only to those Camp Quality Heartland campers and siblings who will be 13 years of age or older by February 17, 2012. There will NOT be a 1:1 camper/companion ratio, but a group of screened adult chaperones and a nurse. This will be a go-with-the-flow weekend. We’ll sled (weather willing), indulge in munchies, watch movies, and play cards and games as the mood hits us. No waking up early and no lights out at ten!
If you’d like to participate in Teen Winter Camp 2012, please return the registration form by January 13th, 2012. Please note that we are unable to accept applications sent after this deadline and are unable to accept telephone or email “RSVP’s”. All applications must be received by this date!
We will again have transportation via bus both to and from winter camp. Check-in will be from 4:00-5:30 PM on Friday, February 17th at the Nebraska Medical Center. The exact location will be included in the pre-camp information letter. If preferred, check-in will be available at the Guthrie Grove campground after 6:30 pm on February 17th. Please mark on the enclosed sheet whether you will be checking in at the Omaha site or at Guthrie Grove and return it with the applications. Please bring all medications and plan to review them with the nurse at check-in.
The camp will end at 3:00 pm on Sunday, February 19th. The bus will return campers to Omaha at approximately 5:00 pm on Sunday.
Please bring twin bedding or a sleeping bag, pillow, snow clothes, toiletries, games, music CD’s, movies (no graphic or violent language), and a sled if you have one. There is no cost for this weekend camp.
