Camp Quality by Megan Denison  - I watched a movie this afternoon and it made me realize how much Camp Quality means to me, among other things. In this movie the main character meets tons of people that are going through all of the same things that she is dealing with. Tears began pouring down my cheeks at this point because it reminded me of Camp Quality and all of the people that make it so special. In the movie, people who are suffering with the same disease as this character, let out their frustrations... they are sick of not being able to tie their shoes, sick of spilling things, and sick of not being able to do things that they want to do. This Character begins to feel comfortable in who she is ... just like the campers at Camp Quality do. At camp we aren't just another patient but we're individuals and are treated no different than anyone else. I think it's safe for me to say that every cancer survivor is tired of people asking if they feel okay and for treating them different just because they don't have hair.  Anyways, to get to the point of this whole thing. Camp Quality means the world to all of us campers. The volunteers are what makes Camp Quality so special. It would be nothing without you guys. I want to thank you for being that special someone in the lives of all of us kids. You have made an incredible difference. Every one of you have made us campers feel normal and there is no way we could ever thank you enough.

 I LOVE Camp Quality I treasure all the memories we have of Brendan and still have all the gifts he made me there. He was so proud to give them to me.

There was a special place in Kevin's heart for Camp Quality. There is such love and kindness that you don't ever get anywhere else.  I, also, still have all the things Kevin made me at camp, and they are such special treasures to have. Forever. Kevin made things there that have such a special place in my heart, along with all the adventures that he got to experience there, with kids just like him. Your kind of normal.

CQ holds a special place in the hearts of so many survivors and our families and will for years to come...that alone brings a smile to my face and a warm feeling to my heart.
