The foundation provides assistance to children of families whose lives have been affected by cancer. Financial assistance is provided for costs not covered by health insurance or by any other resource as families struggle with the daily living expenses and overwhelming emergency situations that arise when a child or one of their immediate family members has cancer.

Benefit4Kids was founded in 1998 with its’ primary mission to grant the outdoor wishes of children with life limiting illnesses. We also work to involve today’s children in the outdoors and the many activities it offers.
The Brendan Filzek Childhood Cancer Assistance Fund was established in January 1999 at Brendan's request to help children who were fighting cancer and their families. Our fund raising efforts have benefited Children's Hospital of Michigan, Camp Quality, Kids Kicking Cancer and Make a Wish to name just a few.

Queen for a Day (QFAD) and Heroes are national non-profit charities whose mission is to raise the self esteem and confidence of children 3-21 with cancer. QFAD provides personal visits and group parties where we offer makeovers, crafts, manicures, games, temporary tattoos and entertainers. Girls receive boas and tiaras donated by beauty queens, boys receive fireman hats, and a badge. All children receive a keepsake photo and gift. www.detroitqfad.com
