Welcome to Camp Quality Arkansas

Did you know more than 130 children in Arkansas are diagnosed with cancer each year?  Camp Quality Arkansas is not in the business of finding a cure for cancer, but we are in the business of ensuring that every child who has been diagnosed with cancer can not only have a summer camp experience, but year-round programs to enhance their quality of life and encourage quality family time.

Our Campers

When a cancer diagnosis comes to a child, in a lot of ways, childhood stops. Vacations, family time, crafts, and campfires are replaced with doctor visits, chemo, isolation and restrictions. With children’s safety and medical needs forefront, Camp Quality Arkansas breaks down those barriers for children and families and restores the childhood experience.  Surrounded by new friends that can relate, loving volunteers who care, and loads of fun experiences, Camp Quality campers find joy, courage and renewed hope for the future. They are free to be themselves . . . free to be kids again.

Our Mission

Camp Quality serves children with cancer and their families by providing year-round programs, experiences, and companionship, at no cost. Camp Quality promotes hope and inspiration while helping children foster life skills and develop their full potential.

Our Programs

We offer multiple activities throughout the year at multiple locations across the state. Click on the activities below to get more details.

Camper Applications

Join us for Summer Camp! It’s a week-long residential camp open to childhood cancer patients and survivors and their siblings. Beyond boundless fun, summer camp gives participants the opportunity to increase their self-esteem, experience independence, practice teamwork, and forge long lasting friendships, all under the supervision of medical professionals and experienced camp staff. With children’s safety and medical needs addressed, Camp Quality breaks down the medical barriers for children to restore their childhood experience.

At Camp Quality we want kids to feel they belong. They will meet kids (and mentors) who are like themselves and form a network of support. Together they discover they are capable of so much more than they thought was possible. Our goal is for children to bring home more than dirty laundry. We want them to bring home tales of accomplishing feats that they believed were unattainable. And, to come home more confident and less anxious about their illness.

At Camp Quality, we are committed to making this summer a safe and fun experience for all our campers. See our Camp Program Guidelines for details on our COVID-19 vaccination requirements, and other guidelines that we are implementing this year.  Registration opens in February.

If you are unable to attend camp in person this year we’ve got you covered.  Sign up for Virtual CAMP IN! It’s a week-long virtual summer camp from July 17-21, 2023 for campers and their siblings ages 5 to 17. Participants will receive a backpack filled with daily activities and supplies that follow the camp theme, ‘We All Belong.’ There will be daily live stream sessions during the week for participants to meet other campers across the country as well as a video library for more fun activities.

CAMP IN is in partnership with our friends at Camp Quality Canada. Registration opens in February.
