Our Programs
Summer Camp
Summer Camp is a week long summer camp experience for children battling cancer or in remission, ages 5-17. Siblings are invited on a space-available basis. Camp is held at Lake Maurer Retreat Center in Excelsior Springs, MO.
Campers have the opportunity to partake in a variety of activities including swimming, dancing, crafts, archery, performing in a talent show, and field trips.
Virtual CAMP IN
CAMP IN is a week-long virtual summer camp for campers and their siblings ages 5 to 17. Participants will receive a backpack filled with daily activities and supplies that follow the camp theme. There will be daily live stream sessions during the week for participants to meet other campers across the country as well as a video library for more fun activities.
Every Day a Hero
Every Day A Hero is a resource fair for families affected by childhood cancer. This event is held at Paradise Park in Lee’s Summit, MO in August. The kids will enjoy some play time while the parents enjoy many activities in our resource fair. It is a great family fun event for the whole family. RSVP is required through Eventbrite prior to the event date.
Holiday Party
Our Holiday Party takes place the first Saturday in December. Traditionally we have an afternoon where the kids can play games, have fun, do some crafts while the parents are encouraged to get out and do some shopping, go to a movie, or run errands. We then have everyone return to have a meal together. In the past we have gone to Great Wolf Lodge, Main Event, Bowling, Power Play or other venue. RSVP is required through Eventbrite prior to the event date.
Mom's Night Out
Mom’s Night Out is a fun event for all CQ GKC Moms! This is held around Mother’s Day and it is a time for us to fellowship with each other while having a fun evening with dinner. In the past we have painted pottery, created wooden signs and this year we are headed to Blade and Timber. RSVP through Eventbrite is required prior to the event date.
Father's Night Out
Father’s Night Out is a fun event for all CQ GKC Dads! This is held around Father’s Day and it is a time for us to fellowship with each other while having a fun evening with dinner. In the past we have gone to Top Golf a couple of years and this year we are headed to Blade and Timber. RSVP through Eventbrite is required prior to the event date.
