2022 Summer Camp News

2022 Summer Camp News

We are expecting to be back in-person for resident summer camp in 2022. Whoo-hoo!  We are so excited to see all the smiling faces at camp and to let kids with cancer be kids again.

Our staff and medical committee made up of volunteers who serve professionally in the medical field have been working though the procedures that will ensure a safe environment for our campers and volunteers. Our policies and procedures will follow the guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Preventions (CDC), American Camping Association (ACA) and Children’s Oncology Camping Association, Intl. (COCA-I). Our camp will comply with local and state government mandates and policies. When there are differences in state, local and Camp Quality guidelines, our camp will follow the most restrictive.

All Camp Quality staff and volunteers will be vaccinated. And, we are asking all campers to be vaccinated to the fullest extent possible, with medical advisement. All siblings must be fully vaccinated prior to camp. See our COVID-19 Information page for a comprehensive review of our policies and guidelines.

As always, a full medical team will be onsite at camp to ensure the health and wellbeing of the children we serve. It’s our number one priority and we take it very seriously.

With the experience gained from the past two summers of virtual programming, we will provide a CAMP IN program for children in the hospital or at home. It is our intent to offer this program each year at Camp Quality for children unable to attend resident camp. So, choose your own adventure, and either way, we can’t wait to see you this summer!
