The Michigan State Police is pleased to partner with Camp Quality Michigan to support children
diagnosed with cancer across Michigan. Michigan State Police are volunteering and raising
money to help support summer camp experiences for 65 children in Michigan. The
goals for the Michigan State Police Adopt a Camp Campaign is $50,000 and 20 State Police
Volunteers between now and September 30, 2019. All proceeds go to Camp Quality Michigan.
When a cancer diagnosis comes to a child, in a lot of ways, childhood stops. Vacations, family
time, crafts, and campfires are replaced with doctor visits, chemo, isolation and restrictions.
With children’s safety and medical needs forefront, Camp Quality Michigan breaks down those
barriers for children and families and restores the childhood experience. Camp Quality
Michigan is not in the business of finding a cure for cancer, but we are in the business of
ensuring that every child who has been diagnosed with cancer can not only have a summer
camp experience and year-round programs to enhance their quality of life and encourage
quality family time free of charge.

The amazing activities give us a break from the hospital life. Camp has added so much quality to our lives. We will never be able to repay you. ~Jennifer, camper’s Mom
I sent my six year old daughter to Camp Quality. This was our first experience with the Camp Quality Family. My daughter had the absolute best time! She has been in contact with her companion, who was awesome, as well as some fellow campers. I want to thank you so much for this opportunity. This was the first time she was away from me and it was so difficult, but a day hasn’t gone by that she hasn’t mentioned something that happened at camp. This is not something that she is ever going to forget. Thank you! ~Parent
The Michigan State Police has a long standing tradition of helping people. In my 19 years with the department I’ve had that opportunity over and over again. But my heart fell for Camp Quality and what it offers to these kids and their families. This camp is a life changing experience, both for the camper and companion. ~ Sgt. Joseph Rowley, Michigan State Police
